Thinking about moving to Horsham?

If you're new to the area then you will find a multitude of reasons to live in the vicinity of Horsham: from the fantastic schools, beautiful countryside, almost non-existent crime rates, pretty town centre and location that provides easy access to Gatwick, London and Brighton.

Horsham is a historic market town in the centre of the Weald. For a real sense of history, take a walk down the Causeway, just off the Carfax, to see houses dating back to the 17th century. At the end of the Causeway, you will find the Church of St Mary, originating in Norman times and rebuilt in the 13th century. The town centre is an attraction in itself, with superb restaurants lining East Street and small, independent and boutique shops scattered throughout the historical Carfax and West Street. Carfax is a pedestrianised square and is regularly the hub of activity with town events and the venue for Saturday and Thursday markets. Some of our favourite independent shops in Horsham include Carmeladeli, Moscy, The Horsham Cellar and Horace Fuller.

On the northwest side of the Carfax is Swan Walk shopping centre. Swan Walk takes its name from the Swan Inn that once stood where the pedestrian area now enters West Street, the old name being honoured by the bronze swan statues to the back of the mall and a mosaic in the centre.

Horsham benefits from a free Museum , which has local history objects displayed in twenty-six galleries. Elsewhere, there is the Capitol Theatre, as well the boutique style Everyman cinema which opened in 2019 and is part of the multi-million pound redevelopment of Piries Place.

To the north is Horsham Park which has football pitches, a wildlife pond, tennis courts, nature garden, café, maze and playground. Leisure facilities, including a swimming complex, aerial adventure and a gymnastic centre, have been built on land around the park. Horsham Park is host to many spectacular community events throughout the year and is a hive of activity for all ages.

If you are looking to move to Horsham, then we would love to hear from you!
